One:Point
Lookout (Northport) - A beautiful resort with
incredible facilities, breathtaking views and rustic, but modern
cabins tucked in the woods. Two:Two
Lights State Park (Cape Elizabeth) - A beautiful
park to have a picnic right above the cliffs of the Atlantic
Ocean. Be sure to visit the Lobster Shack just down the road
or at the end of the trail. Three: Scenic drive - Route
1 to Campobello Island, Canada. (Pasamaquoddy Lighthouse, Lubec,
Eastport). Four:Black
Point Inn (Prouts Neck) - At this Historic Maine
landmark you can have a casual lunch on the patio overlooking
the Saco Bay, an elegant dinner in the grand ballroom and stay
in one of the classic suites that will transport you back in
time. Five: The
Claremont (Southwest Harbor) - A classic refuge
from the visitors to Mount Desert Island. This hotel is on the
national register of historic places. Six: Castine (The entire
downtown area is on the National Register of Historic Places).
Castine Variety has an ice cream counter that dates back to
